Infidelity

Silent looks
Questioning
Pondering
Wondering
Betrayed by lies committed by ties bonded by time
Years
Many many years
With
Many many tears
Words unspoken by a heart long broken
Like promises
Unclasped like a missing link necklace
Shes lonely
Vulnerable
Feeling neglected
So now shes acting reckless scarred by god’s best gift longing the love that has been
Shes scorned and feeling spent
Used up like a sanitary napkin she looks at you and wonder what happened knowin shell never get it back again
This sacredness
She wakes up in the morning puts the pillow over her face to block out the light cause she’s hatin this
Tears fill the space where smiles used to radiate fillin her with a sense of something pure
Better yet something chaste
Now
It’s tainted
Like a black spot on a white blanket
She walks around staring blankly at
Nothing
No feelings
No emotions
Empty
Like
No
Thing
Cause she missing
A
Thing
Some
Thing
Joyous and fulfilling like the offspring of loves blessing
What happened to longevity
It was obliterated by infidelity
No trust
No love
No warmth behind the others touch
Things are no longer the same
She sleeps in a fetal position to ease the pain pops pills just to keep her sane
But
The memories stay
The absence aches
And the hurt remains
If she could just make it through this day she’ll be okay
So she takes it in steps
One
And then the next
And next
And as the pain fades she’s feeling blessed
Because although she’s loveless
She loves him
No less
