Voice Catch Writing Prompts

Free and open to the public, Voice Catch meets each Saturday from 11am-1pm, at the East Liberty branch of the Carnegie Library. Voice Catch was created to support Words Without Walls students after their release from ACJ, SCI Pittsburgh, or Sojourner House. We provide a friendly and supportive community to share work with and continue a creative writing practice. We hold regular public readings for Voice Catch participants. Voice Catch is facilitated by a Chatham University MFA student.

Voice Catch sessions often include a writing prompt to get the creative juices flowing. As an aid for others teaching classes, or just trying to kick-start their own writing, we've compiled an entire category of our Voice Catch prompts from the last two years, and more are being added all the time.
